YSFL to have
4th of July game:
Rule Changes

As you have probably read earlier in the paper, we are going
to try to have a YSFL game on the Fourth of July. Anyone interested is asked yo email John DeSantis at desantis_john@yahoo.com. The first and most important change is that we will be using a junior size ball. When people arrive we will decide between
the two junior balls we have.
Since it is the Fourth of July we will be having a cookout
after the game. All families are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
We will have two captains who will pick the teams. If you
would like to play with one player, tell us you would like to be placed with them. We have
decided tht you can all bring a friend or a few friends to the game, but you will only be placed with one(please make
sure to mention that you will be bringing them to John.)
We have a few new rules to add for others and your own safety:
-No spikes(cleats) are to be worn.
-During the game it is wise not to eat on the porch.
-We already told you, but let me refresh your memory: NO
TACKLING!!!
-We will have a no run zone 3 yards before the endzone.
If you have ideas tell me,(Mike) and I will try to change for
you if others agree.

Last year the Titans with players Mike and John
and Coach Joe finished with a 1-7 record, but still let me tell you about the Backyard Flag Football Leaue. Both Mike and
John won player of the week for the Titans, In week 3 Mike got it when he returned an iterception 50 yards (on a fifty yard
field.) In week 4 John got with a 15 yard touchdown run, 88 yards rushing, and 3 flag pulls in the Titans only win, 12-3.
John also had an amazing 500 yards rushing that season, and a touchdown on a screen pass which he ran in from 48 yards out.
The Titans finished 1-6-1 (W-L-T.) Mike leads the team with 2 interceptions. John got player og the week
in week 3 and Mike in week 8.
